Storm damage to siding.
Hail that marks a roof often marks the siding on the same elevation, so we inspect and photograph both in one visit and write them up together. One contractor, one report, one point of contact. What happens with your policy is between you and your carrier, and Minnesota Statute 325E.66 does not permit a residential contractor to advise you on it.

Often yes. Because we're roofers first, we look at your exterior as one system, the most common siding problem we find is actually a water problem starting at the roofline. Doing both together means one crew, one set of flashing details done consistently, and one point of contact instead of two contractors pointing at each other.
Does hail damage siding as well as the roof?+
Often, yes, and usually on the elevation the storm came from. Vinyl can crack, split or show impact marks, and the damage is easier to see at a low angle in raking light than head on. We inspect and photograph the siding at the same time as the roof and write both up in one report, so nothing is left undocumented. What your own policy does about any of it is a question for your agent or your carrier.
